CALLING ALL PREP. 3 AND PREP. 4
BOYS
Letters have been sent home inviting Prep. 3 and Prep. 4 boys to
support the younger children in the school who will be making their first Holy
Communion on Saturday 15th May. So far there has been a
disappointing response. I appeal to all parents and boys to do everything
possible to enable our top juniors to attend the 10.00 a.m. Mass. Our First
Holy Communion Mass is the greatest and most important celebration of the
school year and we really need your help and support.

THANK YOU TO SAPA – AGAIN!
SAPA
(St. Ambrose Parents’ Association) donated £20,000 to the school last year,
providing a newly refurbished ICT Room including new carpet, decoration, new
furniture and state-of-the-art computers for classes of twenty four. We
recently received another very generous donation of almost £6,000, enabling the
school to provide magnificent P.E. equipment, including a three metre high fixed-gate climbing frame and new, heavy duty
floor mats. We have also been able to purchase two large flat-screen
televisions with purpose-built trolleys and DVD players, four digital cameras,
a storage shed and a new junior drinking fountain, soon to be installed. ON BEHALF OF ALL THE BOYS, STAFF AND
PARENTS A HUGE THANK YOU TO MR. EGAN (Chairman of SAPA) AND THE COMMITTEE FOR
ALL YOU DO FOR OUR SCHOOL.
The Parents’ Association Committee, under the leadership of Mr. Egan (the Committee Chairman) is continuing to flourish, but a constant flow of new members is required to ensure a healthy future. If you could spare an hour a month for the committee meetings and a little time to help with some of the events, you would be making a wonderful contribution to the school. PLEASE GIVE IT SOME THOUGHT. Mrs. Thorpe will pass your name on if you would like to help in this way.
